TRUEWHY SALOON is a gallery, print and designshop established in an old, unused circus-trailer. The small mobile gallery was rolled out first at Sziget 2011 Festival in Budapest, Hungary.
During the restoration the authentic appearance of the trailer was preserved but inside it had been transformed into a modern gallery, where the exhibited photos can be viewed on a special magnetic wall. The permanent exhibition hosts a selection of the absurd-surrealist photography of Gábor Matyasi, originator and leader of TRUEWHY SALOON.
His goal was to create a mobile print-on-demand cultural service with the aim to print out the choosen photo right on the spot, even in A1 size and giclee (fine art) quality. The special acidfree fine art papers provide age and light resistance for the prints.
Each print is individually signed with an embossed stamp in order to prove its genuineness. Photos also can be ordered online through the webshop at TRUEWHY SALOON website and facebook page.

Bringing back the atmosphere of the old saloons, this mobile gallery can also host smaller presentations, screenings and workshops, as the magnetic walls can be easily rearranged to form an auditorium or a photo-studio.

Helping and reinforcing visual education for the youth by leaning on the soul-forming and community building force of art is also an important part of the mission of truewhy saloon. The possibility of presenting works of art school novices and other young artists at temporary exhibitions is giving them space to show their talent to the public, also bringing new colours into the cultural life of TRUEWHY SALOON.
